I am currently a final year student at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, studying Media, Communications and Culture. I’m very eager, driven and passionate in developing my skills and coming up with creative concepts. In 2012 I got the opportunity to be the director of senior house plays at Alexander Road High School. In 2010, I was also crowned Miss Nelson Mandela Bay and top model of the year, at Lizarees Creative Models. In 2015 I traveled to Potchefstroom, for cheerleading nationals, and was announced as the national NMMU winning cheerleading squad of 2015. I believe in being the game changer in your own life, sticking out from the rest , Frank Ocean said. ” Work hard in silence, and let your success be the noise.”
The following TED talk is Bianca Phillips’s favourite because:
The talk is very personal and depth, she really taps into her personal experience of being a model. Its a great talk which gives young and older women insight that beauty does not define you and that looks are not everything. I like how she transformed on stage and literally gave a demonstration of what clothes, make-up, post editing and production can change your image and make you look like a completely different person that is not you, but merely a construction.
